3)     at least one black and white or sepia and white photo

4)     something shiny or glittery (you know—bling)

5)     something metal

Question About Photo Organization

I recently had the question posed to me about how to orgainize photos.  My advice for organizing photos would be the same advice I give to my customers just starting scrapbooking:  start current.  Under the same philosophy of Dave Ramsey and pay off small debts first...it's encouraging.  You are more likely to remember details and can tuck notes in with the pics.

If you organize your photos by date I would work back from there.  Depending on how many photos you have and how much time you have to work on them do a month, season or year at a time.  So 2011, 2010, etc.  If you organize in a different way then work back from your last trip or the last event.

I would highly recommend that as you go through them you tuck in little cards of notes with dates, names and memories.  Even if you never get them scrapped, they will be helpful to future generations.

P.S. Don't be afraid to get them out with a group and video you going through the pictures.  It's fun to hear everyone else's memories and many hands make light work!

Sorry I don't have photos for this but we're mostly digital.  I will admit that I have mostly avoided the two years we have of #1 before we modernized.

May Card Class

Arghhh!  For anyone with a blog using Google Chrome you may want to use Firefox to edit unless you know HTML!  I don't, in case you wondered. For those of you who don't know or care what Chrome is just skip this and look at the pretty picture below :)

Missy has had her cards for next class here for a week and I haven't been able to figure how to update.  We're good now.  So, without further ado...

March Layout Class

Third Thursday monthly at 12:30.  Kits available any time after class.

$10 for a 2-page layout.  Pre-register and bring your favorite adhesives.

This class will include stamping as an embellishment and some fun ribbon ideas!

March Card Class-Six Sweet and Simple Cards

First Friday and previous Thursday every month.  
Both classes now officially at 1:00 pm.

You may make arrangements to come any time Thursday or Friday.

March card class fall on Thursday, March 3rd and Friday, March 4th.  

You will make six cards with envelopes with all pieces parts pre-cut and 

ready to punch, emboss or otherwise embellish.

Pre-register and don't forget your adhesive!!

Single Inspiration

You may not believe it but I rarely have time to scrapbook.  When I do it's often because someone else sets a goal/deadline for me.  (Yay for SoulScrappers!)  This challenge is a list of items much like my Reduce Challenge to you.  Anyway, after finding the perfect picture of Elizabeth just longing to go out in the snow it kind of just all came together.  Enjoy!

Card Class this Thursday/Friday

Missy has 3 Valentine/love cards and 3 other cards for this class all pre-cut and

ready for you to stamp, punch and embellish. 

Cost is only $13, including envelopes.

Make sure to sign up so Missy knows how many kits to make up and

DON'T FORGET YOUR FAVORITE ADHESIVE!!
